A well prepared child is a happy child.

Labels  --  Please label all belongings that are brought to school.

Most important is to label all removable clothing.  Five year olds do not remember their belongings!

Excuses  --  Please send a written excuse explaining each absence.  These are needed for our attendance records.  You will also receive a call from the school nurse.

Dismissal  --  Please advise Mrs. Z as to the method of transportation your child will be using to return home each day. 

Please send a note in the morning if regular dismissal procedures are changed even for one day.  Please include the person's first and last name who will be picking up your child.

Birthdays  --  Mrs. Z must be informed as to the date you wish to celebrate.

     Our school has a new Birthday Policy.  You are asked to donate a new copy of  your child's favorite picture book.  A special label will be put in the book with your child's name and birthday.  The book will remain in the classroom library.

     You the parent will be asked to read the book as a part of your child's birthday celebration.

Back Packs  -- Please provide your child with a back pack large enough to hold everything he/she has to bring to school and carry home.  Please make sure that he/she is able to open and close up the back pack by himself.  Please check the contents each day.

Paint Smocks  --  All children will need a smock for painting.  Daddy's old flannel shirt will do as paint won't soak through as easily as other fabrics.

Homework  --  There is usually a handwriting homework once a week to reinforce the proper letter formations. 

Read to your child each night!!
